Preparation Tips for Participants

Training: Ensure you are prepared for long rides with significant elevation. Incorporate hill training and longer endurance rides into your routine.

Gear: Bring a gravel or cyclocross bike with wide tires for better grip and comfort. An XC Mountain Bike would be suitable with low-profile tyres.  E bikes (with a suitable range are welcome). Ensure your bike is well-maintained and you have any bike specific tools – guides will have spare tubes, power links etc.

Clothing: Remember this route is in Wales and there is a reason that the landscape is so green. Wear appropriate cycling attire for varying weather conditions. Layering is essential to adjust to temperature changes throughout the day.
