Core Skill focuses on the basics of mountain biking. The majority of the session will be spent looking at body position, shifting your weight around the bike, braking and cornering. We will also explore the concept of pumping, which simply means using your body weight to put energy into the bike rather than pedalling. This a fantastic skill for increasing your flow on a trail and is the building block to nearly every more advanced skill. Our Core Skills lesson is open to everyone, so if you are brand new too biking or you simply want to understand the fundamentals then this is the lesson for you. We also promise to keep thing jargon free and inclusive for all, we want to create an environment that means you feel safe to try new things.
